Alis: Perimenopause Journal
Alis support.
Help with check-ins, reminders, the lock, your visit page, and moving to a new iPhone.
Support email
prosper@agdev1.comInclude your iPhone model, the iOS version, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Please don't include your notes or health details; we don't need them to help, and we'd rather not receive them.
If you need help right now
Alis is not an emergency service. If you're thinking about harming yourself, or you're not sure you can stay safe, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US). If you're in immediate danger, call 911. Outside the US, contact your local emergency number.
The evening reminder doesn't arrive
- In Alis, open Settings → Reminders and check that the gentle evening reminder is on and the time is right.
- Open the iPhone Settings → Notifications → Alis and turn on Allow Notifications.
- A Focus mode such as Sleep or Do Not Disturb may hold the reminder until later.
Face ID or the lock
- The lock needs a passcode set for your iPhone. If Face ID doesn't work, Alis offers your passcode instead.
- Alis locks when you open it and after a minute away. In the app switcher it shows a cover instead of your entries.
- To turn the lock on or off, open Settings → Privacy in Alis. You'll be asked to confirm it's you.
Moving to a new iPhone
To keep your entries private, Alis leaves them out of iCloud backup unless you turn on Settings → Your data → Include in iCloud backup. Without that, move your entries yourself:
- On your old iPhone, open Settings → Your data → Export my data and save the file somewhere you trust, such as Files.
- On your new iPhone, install Alis, then open Settings → Your data → Import data and choose that file.
The export file contains your health notes and isn't password-protected. Keep it somewhere private, and delete it when you no longer need it.
Sharing your visit page
From the Visit tab, choose Share as PDF to send one page with Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, or a printer. Nothing is sent until you pick where it goes. You can add your name to the page, or leave it off. Show on screen displays the same page in large type, for turning your phone toward your doctor.
Lost or deleted entries
Alis has no account or server, so we can't see, restore, or recover your entries. If you turned on iCloud backup in Alis, restoring your iPhone from that backup brings them back. Otherwise, an export file you saved is the only copy. Settings → Your data → Delete everything removes all your entries from this iPhone permanently.
About medical advice
Alis helps you organize and share your experience. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and is not a substitute for medical advice. If something in the app seems wrong or unclear, email us; for questions about your health, please talk with your doctor.
