Zone Check privacy policy.

Summary

Zone Check: WBGT Log is an offline-first app for recording WBGT readings during outdoor activities. It is developed by Ambrosio Gomez (“we”), with support provided through AGDev1. We do not collect any data through the app. What you enter stays on your device unless you choose to export it.

Information the app stores on your device

The app stores information you enter, including organization, campus or school, venue, the monitoring lead's name when provided, activity details, WBGT readings and their source, timestamps, acknowledgements, reminder preferences, saved programs, your school's selected policy class, and the policy guidance that applied to each reading.

This information is kept in the app's protected storage on your device, using iOS Data Protection. The app does not require an account and does not use a server or cloud synchronization.

Device backups that you set up, such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup, are controlled by Apple and your device settings and may include the app's data.

Information we collect

None. The app does not send monitoring records or any other data to us, and it does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Exports

If you export a session as a CSV file, iOS shows the system share options and you choose where the file goes. Once exported, the file is handled by the app or service you chose, under its own privacy practices.

Notifications

If you turn on reading reminders, the app asks iOS for permission to show local notifications. Reminders are created on your device and use generic text. They do not include your school, venue, staff names, or WBGT readings.

Links to policy sources

The app can open links to published policy documents. Those websites open in your browser and have their own privacy practices.

Students and children

The app is designed for coaches, directors, athletic trainers, and other staff. It does not create student profiles or accounts. Please do not enter student names or other personal student information into session fields.

Keeping and deleting data

Saved programs and saved school classes can be deleted in the app. Recorded sessions stay on your device as a record until you delete the app, which removes all of its data. Exported files are kept wherever you saved them.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated together, and the effective date above will change.
